Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos

Delicious Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos packed with bold flavors, crispy textures, and a sweet and spicy sauce.

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha (or to taste)
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
  • Shredded lettuce, for serving
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp by coating them in a mixture of flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. The egg wash: Beat the eggs and dip each floured shrimp in the egg wash.
  3. Coat the shrimp in panko breadcrumbs until evenly covered.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the shrimp to the hot oil, frying for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha in a bowl to make the Bang Bang sauce.
  7. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
  8. Load each tortilla with shredded lettuce, crispy shrimp, avocado slices, and drizzle with Bang Bang sauce, garnishing with cilantro and lime.

Notes

Try adding a dash of lemon juice or garlic to the sauce for an added zing! Use a platter for coating shrimp to keep your hands clean.
