  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Taco shells
  • Lettuce, shredded
  • Tomatoes, diced
  • Green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tablespoons sriracha

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp in a bowl with buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the breading by mixing flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in another bowl.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Coat the shrimp with the flour mixture, pressing lightly to ensure adherence.
  5. Fry the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain the shrimp on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Make the Bang Bang sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha until smooth.
  8. Assemble the tacos by placing shrimp in taco shells and topping with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, green onions, and Bang Bang sauce.
