Spicy Shrimp Tacos

Quick and flavorful spicy shrimp tacos, perfect for a fun taco night with friends.

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup creamy spicy sauce (1/4 cup sour cream, 1/4 cup mayo, hot sauce to taste)
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse your shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a small bowl, combine chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Grab a large skillet and heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the shrimp to the pan in a single layer.
  5. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until they’re pink and opaque.
  6. Once cooked, remove the skillet from heat.
  7. Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
  8. To assemble, start with a warm tortilla, add shrimp, top with shredded cabbage, and drizzle with sauce.
  9. Finish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime.
