Tarte Suisse aux Pommes

A cozy and delightful apple tart filled with a creamy custard, perfect for family gatherings and nostalgic moments.

  • 3 large apples
  • 1 pie crust
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 200ml cream
  • 50g flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Prepare the pie crust by rolling it out into a 9-inch tart pan and baking for about 10 minutes until set and lightly golden.
  3. Slice your apples into thin wedges.
  4. Make the filling by combining melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, egg, cream, and flour in a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  5. Layer the sliced apples in the crust and pour the creamy filling over them.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Cool the tart before slicing and serve warm.
