Homemade Peach Freezer Jam

A sweet and simple homemade peach freezer jam that captures the essence of summer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, chopped
  • 2 cups sugar
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Optional: Pectin (if desired)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your peaches by washing them under cool water, slicing them open, removing the pit, and chopping them into small pieces.
  2. Mash the chopped peaches in a mixing bowl using a potato masher or fork until desired consistency is achieved.
  3. Spoon in the sugar and stir until well combined; let sit for about 10 minutes to allow the sugar to draw out peach juices.
  4. Fill your jars with the mixture, ensuring that jars and lids are clean and dry, leaving about an inch of headspace for freezing.
  5. Freeze the jars immediately; jam can be stored in the freezer for up to a year.

Notes

You can use frozen peaches, but ensure they are unsweetened. Consider adding spices, vanilla, or other fruits for variations.
