Crispy Chicken with Creamy Spicy Sauce

A delicious recipe for crispy chicken topped with a creamy spicy sauce, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 4 cups water
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the rice: Rinse the rice in a fine mesh strainer until the water runs clear. Boil the water in a medium saucepan, add a pinch of salt, then stir in the rinsed rice and cover. Simmer for about 15 minutes, turn off the heat and let it sit for another 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the chicken: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken, set up a dredging station with flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast starting with flour, then eggs, and finally breadcrumbs.
  3. Cook the chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the breaded chicken for 4-6 minutes on each side, then transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  4. Create the creamy spicy sauce: In the same skillet, add heavy cream, Sriracha, and soy sauce. Whisk together over medium heat until combined and slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve it up: Spoon jasmine rice on a plate, place the chicken on top, and drizzle the creamy spicy sauce over it. Garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the heat level of the sauce by adding more or less Sriracha to suit your taste.
