Gâteau aux Pommes

  • 3 Apples: Peeled and sliced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work great!)
  • 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Butter, Melted
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9-inch round cake pan by greasing it.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt) in a large bowl.
  4. Cream together melted butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add in eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Combine the wet and dry ingredients gently.
  7. Fold in sliced apples until well coated.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool the cake for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
