Ingredients

  • Fresh Peaches: About 6 to 8, ripe and fragrant
  • Sugar: 1 cup, for the filling
  • Butter: ½ cup, melted
  • All-Purpose Flour: 1 cup
  • Baking Powder: 1 tablespoon
  • Milk: ½ cup
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon
  • Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Wash and slice your peaches, toss them with ½ cup sugar, and let them sit.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Add the milk and melted butter, stirring until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the baking dish, then spoon the peach mixture over the top.
