How to Freeze Peaches the Best Way

A simple guide to freezing ripe peaches, allowing you to enjoy their juicy flavor all year round.

  • Fresh Peaches
  • Lemon Juice
  • Sugar (Optional)
  • Freezer Bags or Containers

Instructions

  1. Choose and wash your peaches.
  2. Blanching (optional, but recommended): Bring a small pot of water to a rolling boil, then boil the peaches for about 30 seconds and transfer them to an ice bath.
  3. Peel and slice the peaches, removing the pit.
  4. Treat with lemon juice by tossing the sliced peaches in a bowl.
  5. Sweeten it up (optional): Sprinkle sugar over the peaches and toss gently.
  6. Load up the freezer bags, leaving space at the top, and squeeze out as much air as possible before sealing.
  7. Label each bag with the date and freeze.
