Ingredients

  • Slider Buns
  • Roast Beef
  • Caramelized Onions
  • Beef Broth
  • Swiss Cheese
  • Horseradish (optional)
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice onions: Start by thinly slicing 1-2 large onions.
  2. Heat the pan: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add your sliced onions.
  3. Caramelize: Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and cook slowly, stirring occasionally for about 20-30 minutes until they turn golden and sweet.
  4. Preheat your oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Slice the buns: Carefully slice your slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  6. Layer the roast beef: On top of the buns, pile on your thinly sliced roast beef, followed by a generous amount of caramelized onions.
  7. Add the Swiss cheese: Place a slice of Swiss cheese over each slider.
  8. Prepare the broth: In a small saucepan, heat 2 cups of beef broth over low heat, whisking in a touch of salt and pepper.
  9. Top and bake: Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese, brush with butter, and bake uncovered for about 15 minutes until melted and golden.
  10. Serve: Slice the sliders apart and serve warm with a bowl of beef broth for dipping.

You can prepare the sliders ahead of time and keep them in the fridge until ready to bake.
