Grilled Balsamic Steak Caprese

A delicious blend of juicy steak, creamy mozzarella, and sweet roasted cherry tomatoes, drizzled with balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • Steak (Ribeye or Sirloin)
  • Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
  • Roasted Cherry Tomatoes
  • Balsamic Glaze
  • Fresh Basil Leaves
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Prep the Tomatoes: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice your cherry tomatoes in half and toss them in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and black pepper.
  2. Roast the Tomatoes: Spread those beauties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and pop them in the oven for about 20-25 minutes.
  3. Grill the Steak: Season the steak generously with salt and pepper. Heat up your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Get Grilling: Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  5. Rest the Steak: Take the steak off the grill and let it rest for at least 5-10 minutes.
  6. Slice and Assemble: While the steak rests, slice the fresh mozzarella and chop up some fresh basil. Now, thinly slice your perfectly grilled steak against the grain.
  7. Layer It Up: On a serving platter, alternate layers of steak, mozzarella slices, and roasted cherry tomatoes. Scatter fresh basil over the top!
  8. Drizzle with Balsamic Glaze: Drizzle your balsamic glaze over the entire dish.

Notes

Letting the steak rest allows it to retain its juices, ensuring a tender bite. Experiment with different cheeses for a unique flavor.
