Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  2. Prepare your round cake pan by greasing it with butter or non-stick spray.

  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl and whisk.
  5. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients gradually, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the sliced apples.
  7. Pour the batter into your prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool the cake in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
