  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by slicing the flank steak into thin strips against the grain.
  2. Toss the beef in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the seasoned beef strips and cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned and slightly crispy.
  5. Transfer the cooked beef to a plate and add garlic and ginger to the skillet.
  6. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Add the soy sauce and brown sugar, stirring until dissolved.
  8. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  9. Combine the beef back into the skillet and add sliced green onions; cook for an additional minute.
  10. Serve over steamed rice or low-carb options like stir-fried veggies or cauliflower rice.
