Homemade Peach Jam

A delightful homemade peach jam recipe that captures the essence of summer.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Ripe Peaches, chopped
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the peaches thoroughly. Cut them in half, remove the pits, and chop them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Combine the chopped peaches, sugar, and lemon juice in a large pot. Stir gently until the sugar begins to dissolve.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  4. Simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
  5. Test for doneness by dropping a spoonful onto a chilled plate to check the consistency.
  6. Sterilize your jars in a 200°F (93°C) oven for about 10 minutes.
  7. Fill jars with hot jam, leaving about 1/4 inch from the top.
  8. Seal and cool jars at room temperature.
