Honey Mustard Chicken Marinade

A delightful honey mustard marinade that infuses chicken with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, and olive oil in a medium bowl until smooth.
  2. Add minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to the bowl and whisk again until fully incorporated.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the top, ensuring the chicken is well coated. Seal or cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Pour the leftover marinade into a small saucepan, bring to a simmer, and cook for about 5 minutes to ensure it’s safe to use as a drizzle over the chicken.
  6. Slice the cooked chicken and arrange on a platter, drizzling warm marinade over the top and serving with desired sides.

Notes

For optimal flavor, marinate for 2-4 hours or overnight. You can also use this marinade on pork or veggies.
