French Peach Jam

A delightful recipe for homemade French Peach Jam that transforms your mornings with its sweet flavors.

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peaches by peeling and chopping them into small chunks.
  2. Mix in sugar and lemon juice with the chopped peaches and let sit for about 30 minutes.
  3. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently, for about 30-40 minutes.
  4. Test for doneness using the plate test; if it holds shape, it’s ready!
  5. Jar the jam into sterilized jars, leaving about 1/4 inch of headspace.
  6. Cool down the jars after processing them in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
