Marinated Chicken with Yogurt

A simple and flavorful marinated chicken dish using yogurt to keep it moist and tender.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken fillets
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix everything until it’s well combined.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place your chicken fillets into a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the yogurt marinade over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated. Let it marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the Pan: When you’re ready to cook, preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Add your olive oil to the hot pan.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Place the marinated chicken in the skillet, shaking off any excess marinade. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Rest the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, try using coconut yogurt. Adjust garlic and spices to taste. Serve with a side salad, rice, or pita bread.
