Easy Cherry Crumb Pie

A comforting cherry crumb pie that brings back nostalgic memories of childhood baking.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cherries (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine cherries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl.
  3. Roll out the pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish.
  4. Pour the cherry filling into the pie crust.
  5. Mix flour, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt for the crumb topping.
  6. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the cherry filling.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
  8. Cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
