Tarte Fine aux Pommes

A quick and easy apple tart recipe that combines buttery pastry and sweet, caramelized apples for a delightful dessert.

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 Golden apples
  • 150 g unsweetened applesauce
  • 35 g salted butter
  • 35 g brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder or 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
  2. Prepare the puff pastry on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, poking holes across the surface with a fork.
  3. Slice the Golden apples thinly (about 3-4mm thick).
  4. Layer the applesauce evenly on the pastry, leaving a small border, and arrange apple slices on top.
  5. Top with melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla.
  6. Bake the tart for 25-30 minutes until apples are tender and pastry is golden brown.
  7. Let it cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a sprinkle of powdered sugar for an extra special touch.
