Delicious Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

A cozy culinary adventure with a flavor-packed Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry that’s quick and adaptable to suit your taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients. Ensure that your flank steak is thinly sliced against the grain. Chop your broccoli into bite-sized florets and combine the garlic and ginger in a small bowl.
  2. Marinate the steak. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce and cornstarch until smooth. Toss in the sliced flank steak, ensuring every piece is coated. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Heat the wok or skillet. Over medium-high heat, add sesame oil to your wok or a large skillet.
  4. Cook the steak. Add the marinated beef in a single layer. Let it sear for about 2-3 minutes without moving it. Flip it and cook for another couple of minutes until just browned but not fully cooked.
  5. Toss in the aromatics. In the same pan, throw in the minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir-fry them for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add the broccoli. Toss in those crunchy broccoli florets. Stir them around for about 2-3 minutes until they’re bright green.
  7. Combine everything. Return the beef to the pan, and stir everything together. Allow it to cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve and enjoy! Plate it up over a bed of rice or noodles and enjoy the cozy aromas.

Notes

Serve over fluffy white rice, quinoa, or noodles, topped with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for extra flavor.
