Blackened Tilapia with Mango Salsa

A delightful dish featuring perfectly cooked blackened tilapia topped with a fresh mango salsa, perfect for a cozy dinner or backyard gathering.

  • 4 Tilapia Fillets
  • 2 tsp Blackened Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Mango, diced
  • 1/4 Red Onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fish by patting the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel.
  2. Rub the blackened seasoning all over the fillets.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  4. Carefully place the seasoned tilapia fillets in the hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side.
  5. Once charred, gently flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  6. In a medium bowl, combine the diced mango, red onion, lime juice, and cilantro to make the salsa.

Notes

Feel free to substitute tilapia with other flaky white fish like cod or snapper. You can also switch mango for pineapple or peach if not in season.
