Braised Kohlrabi Greens

A comforting and flavorful dish featuring kohlrabi greens sautéed with garlic and vegetable broth.

  • 1 bunch Kohlrabi Greens
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 34 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Vegetable Broth
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked Black Pepper, to taste
  • Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Kohlrabi Greens by washing them thoroughly and drying them on a kitchen towel.
  2. Chop the dried greens coarsely into 1-2 inch pieces.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the chopped kohlrabi greens to the pan and stir to coat.
  6. Pour in the vegetable broth and stir to combine.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  8. Let the mixture simmer, covered, for 10-15 minutes until greens are tender.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  10. Serve warm, drizzled with additional olive oil if desired.

Notes

Kohlrabi greens can be substituted with mustard greens or Swiss chard. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
