Classic Hamburger Hash

A hearty and comforting meal that combines ground beef, potatoes, and colorful veggies for a nostalgic, flavorful dish.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prep the veggies: Wash and chop your potatoes, onions, and bell peppers. Mince the garlic.
  2. Brown the beef: Add olive oil to a skillet and brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the onions and bell peppers: Sauté until onions are translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Toss in the potatoes and garlic: Stir well to combine.
  5. Cook and stir: Cover and cook on medium-low for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add cheese: If using, sprinkle cheese on top and cover until melted.

Notes

Serve family-style right from the skillet or portion onto plates. Consider adding fresh herbs on top for flavor.
