Oven-Baked Cheeseburgers

A cozy and simple twist on the classic cheeseburger, perfect for gatherings or busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns (brioche or whole wheat)
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, and condiments (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a large bowl. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form patties, making a small indentation in the center of each.
  4. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns under the broiler until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, cheesy patties, and any desired toppings.
