Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

A heartwarming turkey chili that’s perfect for chilly evenings, combining lean ground turkey with hearty beans and spices.

  • 1.5 lb ground turkey (browned)
  • 1 can black beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 can kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (with juices)
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat with a splash of oil until no longer pink.
  2. Prep the veggies by chopping the onion into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Combine the turkey, black beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and onion in a slow cooker.
  4. Add the chili powder and cumin, then stir well to combine.
  5. Slow cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve the chili in bowls and enjoy!

Notes

Top with fresh cilantro, shredded cheese, a dollop of sour cream, or serve with crushed tortilla chips or cornbread.
