Ultimate Peach Scones

Delicious and buttery peach scones filled with fresh peaches and drizzled with honey for an extra touch of sweetness.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, diced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Toss in the peaches and fold gently.
  5. Combine the wet ingredients in a separate bowl: whisk heavy cream, vanilla extract, and honey.
  6. Bring everything together by pouring wet ingredients into the flour mixture.
  7. Shape the dough and flatten into a circle about 1-inch thick.
  8. Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Glaze the scones with honey and vanilla after baking.
  10. Enjoy fresh and warm with a pat of butter!

Notes

Scones freeze well; wrap individually and store in a ziplock bag.
