Cozy Delight of Raclette

Experience the warmth and comfort of traditional Swiss raclette cheese, served with boiled potatoes and assorted vegetables for a delightful, interactive dining experience.

Ingredients

  • Raclette Cheese
  • Boiled Yukon Gold Potatoes
  • Assorted Vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms)
  • Pickles (e.g., gherkins, pickled onions)
  • Cured Meats (optional, e.g., prosciutto, salami)
  • Black Pepper
  • Paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Wash and scrub your small Yukon Gold potatoes under cold water. Place them in a pot, cover with cold water, and add a pinch of salt. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 15-20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and keep them warm.
  2. Prep the Veggies: While the potatoes are cooking, wash and slice your assorted vegetables into bite-sized pieces. For heartier vegetables like zucchini or bell peppers, slice them about 1/4 inch thick for even grilling.
  3. Heat Up the Grill: Preheat your raclette grill according to the manufacturer’s instructions or use a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Lightly brush the grill with olive oil to ensure nothing sticks.
  4. Melt the Cheese: Cut thick slices of raclette cheese (about 1/4 inch each) and place them in the grill pans underneath the heating elements. Let it melt for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Grill the Vegetables and Meats: As the cheese melts, add your sliced vegetables and cured meats to the grill. Sauté them until crispy and slightly charred.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Gather around the table and serve the melted cheese over the boiled potatoes, grilled veggies, and sliced meats.
