A delicious and comforting Chicken Milanese recipe that embodies nostalgia and flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken cutlets (approximately 500g)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 60g panko breadcrumbs
  • 50g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 50g all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and the last with panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Dredge the chicken cutlets, lightly seasoning them with salt and pepper before coating them in flour.
  3. Egg bath time: Drench each floured cutlet in the egg and milk mix, letting excess drip off.
  4. Breadcrumb coating: Press the cutlets firmly into the panko mixture.
  5. Heat the pan with olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  6. Fry the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Drain on a paper-towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  8. Serve and enjoy with your favorite sides!

Notes

For a leaner option, turkey cutlets can be used. You can also bake the chicken at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes for a healthier version.
