Refreshing Watermelon Lemonade

A vibrant and refreshing drink made with sweet watermelon and zesty lemons, perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon, cubed
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice (approximately 46 lemons)
  • 2 cups cold water (or sparkling water for a fizzy twist)
  • Ice for serving
  • Optional sweetener (honey, agave, or sugar substitute)

Instructions

  1. Choose your watermelon, ensuring it’s ripe and heavy for its size.
  2. Cut the watermelon in half and scoop out the flesh. Cut it into smaller chunks.
  3. Blend the watermelon chunks in a blender until smooth, straining if desired.
  4. Squeeze the lemons to extract about ½ cup of juice.
  5. Combine the watermelon puree with lemon juice in a large pitcher, adding cold water to mix.
  6. Sweeten to taste with desired sweetener.
  7. Chill the lemonade with ice and serve, garnished with lemon slices or mint leaves.

Notes

For a fun twist, try freezing lemon slices in your ice cubes before serving.
