Southern Peach Cobbler

A beloved Southern dessert that combines sweet, juicy peaches with a buttery, fluffy cobbler topping.

  • 68 Fresh Peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the peaches and toss with half a cup of sugar and a dash of cinnamon.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, remaining sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually stir in milk.
  4. Melt the butter in a baking dish in the oven.
  5. Pour the batter over the melted butter without mixing, then place peaches over the batter.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before serving.
