Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles

A comforting dish of tender chicken pieces sautéed in a sticky, sweet garlic sauce, tossed with noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in a large bowl with soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, ginger, red chili flakes, and cornstarch for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the marinated chicken in heated vegetable oil over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. Make the sauce by pouring leftover marinade into the pan, reducing heat to medium and letting it bubble until it thickens.
  5. Combine cooked noodles with the chicken and sauce, add green onions, and mix well.
  6. Serve garnished with sesame seeds and additional green onions.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, swap chicken for firm tofu or tempeh. Add vegetables for extra crunch and color.
