Sweet and Spicy Garlic Steak Pasta

A savory and sweet pasta dish that combines garlic-marinated steak with the perfect pasta for a comforting meal.

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or flank steak)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (or to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water, add pasta, and cook until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Marinade: Whisk together soy sauce, honey, and sriracha in a small bowl.
  3. Marinate the Steak: Slice steak against the grain, combine with marinade, and let sit for 15-30 minutes.
  4. Sauté the Garlic: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  5. Cook the Steak: Add marinated steak to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes until browned.
  6. Combine Everything: Add cooked pasta to the skillet, toss with reserved pasta water until desired sauce consistency is reached.
  7. Serve and Garnish: Plate and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free pasta and soy sauce. Adjust sriracha to taste for desired spice level.
