Traditional Raclette

Experience the joy of raclette, a delightful dish that brings friends and family together for a cozy meal of melted cheese and hearty sides.

Ingredients

  • Raclette Cheese (1 lb)
  • Boiled Potatoes (2 lbs)
  • Cornichons (½ cup)
  • Charcuterie (Salami, Prosciutto, & Ham)
  • Fresh Herbs (Thyme or Chives)
  • Olive Oil (for drizzling)
  • Bread (1 French baguette)

Instructions

  1. Start by washing your potatoes thoroughly. Then, boil them in salted water until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Slice your raclette cheese into thick portions that fit well on your raclette grill or into small ramekins if you’re using a broiler.
  3. Arrange your choice of meats, cornichons, and herbs on a beautiful platter.
  4. Preheat the raclette grill according to the manufacturer’s instructions, or set your oven to high broil if you’re broiling.
  5. Once the cheese is melty and bubbling, scrape it onto your plate over the boiled potatoes and charcuterie.

Notes

Use waxy potatoes for the best texture. For a twist, try sweet potatoes or mixing flavors with grilled veggies.
