Brown Butter Peach Cobbler

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until it becomes golden and fragrant.
  3. Prepare the peaches by washing, peeling, and slicing them, then toss with 1/2 cup of brown sugar.
  4. Combine the flour, remaining brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk in a large mixing bowl, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the browned butter and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the batter into a baking dish and spoon the peach mixture evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving with ice cream.
